Cactus Alliance Adds Blogs and Makes Changes
Dear Readers,
Cactus Alliance, Arizona's first blog aggregator, has long been known as a pro-life, conservative aggregator. That will change a little today as we will begin to allow all blogs that are right-of-center.
Why the change? We have some great blogs that aren't carried by our national competitor, BlognetNews, but in interesting political times such as these, we feel it would be beneficial to readers if we diversify our content to cover a broader range of political ideas on the right. The pro-life issue is pretty black and white, but policy issue positions run the gamut among bloggers.
Other changes include feed updates every fifteen minutes, making Cactus Alliance the most frequently updated aggregator in the region. We will also include more local-specific content, such as buttons (right) linking to specialized content. One such button is the Arizona Judges Review, which is a list that Arizona voters can use to decide on how to vote on judges, sponsored by one of our member blogs, LighthouseBlog. We will also continue to have polls, but update them more frequently.
What about left-of-center blogs? We think BlognetNews does a wonderful job of covering them, and we don't plan to do so down the road. We want to be an easy one stop shop for right-minded people, where readers won't have to click around to find which blogs are in their state and which blogs are like-minded.
Those wishing to add their blogs to CA should email the blogmaster via the contact form.
